Crinkle Stencil (a collab with Stencil Girl Products)

Crinkle was designed for my Folded Paper Series, which also includes Crease and Crimp.

Part of my mission statement for the collection states: “When I experiment with abstract shapes using the gel plate, I usually start with a variety of scrap paper strips cut into different sizes to use as stencils. I love to randomly drop these strips onto the inked-up plate surface and then sandwich them between the paper and the plate, so whatever shapes the paper makes is left up to chance. This process inspired the stencils in this series: crinkle, crimp, and crease, as I wanted to recreate the organic nature of these temporary paper shapes and transform them into permanent stencils.”
