#52originalroughdrAftbooks
Come follow along with me as I make a book a week and post them on Instagram! Each week I’ll post a drawn, painted, scribbled, printed, collaged, doodled, sewn on, altered book I’ve made the week before. This time I am not making thttps://www.instagram.com/eisroughdraft/he book forms, I’m only going to design the covers. A little different for me, a strictly 2D challenge. I figured I would be drawing anyway, why … Continue reading

just drive or bye bye summer.
Hey y’all, it’s about that time for summer to leave us again. For those of us whose lives are still somehow affected by the weight of that news, I just wanted to take a moment. For me, this was a good summer, full of work but equally full of play. … Continue reading -
moment, moment, moment.
MOMENT(um) (or) just a moment, is the last book I made for the spring contemporary book binding class. Very simply put chance operations is … Continue reading

For anyone who hasn’t ever been a workshop type situation, it’s an intense space sometimes. It’s the place you go to workshop and talk about your writing every week with people in what is supposed to be a safe place. Writing in this kind of formal capacity is new for … Continue reading

home to here
The second book made this semester was a structure invented and taught by our professor, Julie. It was fun because we started off by making a visual timeline based on any specific period of time in our lives, and we didn’t know what we were going to use it for. It was basically a long strip of art we created that we then went back and cut into panels to … Continue reading

9 months, 6 books
Full disclosure: any faithful readers might have noticed by now I am not a blogger. Posting every 8 or so months is probably not good practice by industry standards. Alas one must be honest and I just don’t have it in me to do anything daily, well except make things and eat. But I do know what I am: a maker and someone who loves to documents things so this … Continue reading
