About The LOOSE 23K Genuine Double Gold Leaves:The 23K Genuine Double Gold Leaves are placed in paper booklets, loosely inlaid in 25 pages of tissue paper, one for each leaf. To cut the leaf, one may take it from the booklet with the gilding knife and place it on the gilding cushion or drop it directly from the booklet onto the gilding cushion. Then, pick up the leaf with the gilder’s tip and place it onto the prepared surface. About The TRANSFER (Patent) 23K Genuine Double Gold Leaves:The individual 23K Genuine Double Gold Leaves are pressed onto a wax-coated sheet of tissue paper, allowing for the user to hold the sheet by hand. One uses patent leaf, also called transfer leaf, when gilding outdoors. It is also possible to cut the patent leaves into desired shapes/forms with scissors. The leaves are placed onto the prepared surface and carefully rubbed with cotton wool. The tissue paper may then be removed as the silver leaf will adhere to the surface/object.
