well this is what it has come to. my office is now in the bathroom as that is the only place i am catching any sort of wifi. my first office was this lovely thing called a bed. also a pic of my desk for good measure…it’s messy even on another continent. And YES, the post-its go with me everywhere.

disclaimer: I love it. That being said, when I travel I eat and drink everything. EVERYTHING. These bananas are so sweet. The fruit here is amazing. I am in love. When the fruit ladies come round with their baskets, i just get so happy. Sang got me these to take back to hotel with me… 10,000 dong for the whole bunch, yum.

A nice chat in a rice paddy.
I woke up this morning around 6:30 to find these 2 ladies in the field behind my hotel balcony sitting quietly working. I opened up the doors to hear the faintest lilt of a conversation in the air between them. It seemed like a familiar routine for them, like old friends meeting over coffee. My home in Hoi An.
This is the view out my balcony window. I have been here less than 24 hours and I can see why people fall in love with this place. I already know I will be back. I don’t quite know how to describe how livable this city is. Give me a moment or two, I’ll get back to you on this.
