50 / 10 / 40

I am sitting here listening to The Today Show scanning in the all the pages of my finally finished sketchbook for the sketchbook project 2011 sponsored by the art house co-op. Yes, I know the deadline is tomorrow, lol. I’m putting it in the envelope now. But back to the story, so I am sitting here listening to The Today Show and all of a sudden I hear something interesting about happiness. The guest psychologist just said that 50% of happiness is genetic, and 10% is your circumstances but 40, 40% are the choices you make each day. Now I am not sure how scientific this all is but I like it. I have been a big fan of intention, just about as much as I am of serendipity. (how’s that for contradictory beliefs, they could be good bed fellows, no?)

So I have decided to use this part of my 40% to believe in the 40 percent theory. 40% you guys, that is pretty good. So just throw that 50% out, blame it on your mama or just forget about it, you can’t do anything about that it’s just who you are, and the 10%, well that will be the swing variable because circumstances change with the wind… But the 40%, that is all you or me. So it’s Friday, you can start now, what are you gonna do with your 40? Choose well.

Btw…
The theme of my book is “if you lived here…” And I am so happy I chose to do this project. Here is one spread from my book and below is more information about the project.
